CHAKAL is one of the bands that mining scenario 'born' at the beginning of 1985, with Wiz on drums, Mark on drums, Destroyer and SGOT in the low voice. They made their first appearance in the Festival together with the BH Metal bands Sarcófago, Sepultura, Sacred Hell, Armageddon and Minotaur (SP). Once closed a contract with Mushroom Records and went on tour, with Korg on vocals, sharing the stage with Sodom, Nuclear Assault, Kreator and Slayer.
Today the band is formed by Wiz on drums, Mark on guitar and Andrevil, Giuliano and Korg in the low voice.
To know more about the CHAKAL, hit a chat with William (Wiz), drummer who is from the beginning. Danny Lynn:
Well you prefer I call you William or Wiz?

Wiz:
Whatever. You can call me anything it is not offensive.

Danny Lynn:

Well, I wanted you first tell me how did the band. Whose was the idea?

Wiz:
Me and Mark (guitar) are the founders. We already had a band, called sect metal, but that only tested and had no proposal, it was just playing it.
But the name and the band was another guitar player and he went out and we mount another band. Then call the pro Sérgio down (he participated in the Warfare Noise) and SGOT for the voice. Hence we choose a name. Until a colleague gave the name of CHAKAL because of searches of Conan.

Danny Lynn:
Cool, I would ask whether it had something to do ...

Wiz:
Yes, that was all that was talked about their Chaka Conan.

Danny Lynn:
The recording of the Warfare Noise compilation in 1986, already had the Korg on vocals. And the output of SGOT was something personal, himself, or was a problem between members?

Wiz:
He was very inconsistent, I was hippie metal, punk etc.. He left to be punk.

Wiz:
A Mushroom in the proposed record a demo for them and then meet the band liked it and called us to record the Warfare Noise, along with Sarcófago, Mutilator and Holocaust.

Danny Lynn:
After this collection came in 87 Abominable Anno Domini, called ADD, considered by fans the album.

Wiz:
It is the Warfare Noise Mushroom served to draw if the bands had to record an Lp clout each. Every band has their 1st Lp in the same season. The Abominable at the time was considered the best among the 4. We ended up leaving at the same time that the rats hold, Sepultura, Schizoprenia. But when we stick the stick type.
This album has a few curiosities, first because we had to cut a song and was chosen Cursed Cross. When we get it we saw that the staff knew what the songs were shorter that the staff and she was chosen. And that fight led to the band because I thought a cool song, I did not want to leave and she was a month with anger. Another is to share that music has taken and Jason Lives is today. When we launched the ADA never imagined she would be successful. You do not get the size that is. Danny Lynn:
Do not take this the wrong question, please, but what do you think you failed, and even now, that you ares CHAKAL gain more this time? As bands that were won this match?

Wiz:
Type, shortly after the Korg left and the other bands just launching the 2 LPs before us. We record the Abominable Lp in 87 seconds and in 90 with another vocalist and such. At that time 3 years stay free throw was too long. In that space of time we are trying to find singer, to women we tested, which was rare at the time, so it was difficult not to find, we ended up using the orange that was in the bass voice

Danny Lynn:
The output of Korg in the peak of ADD was something he decided one day another project, or was something that the band has felt?

Wiz:

Wiz:

Living With The Pigs came out in the 88 and you come back in 90, particularly what you thought those 2 years, you thought the band could finish?

Wiz:
Never thought about it. At the time Mark and I tried and tested ficávamos up vocalists. But in 95 the band met and decided to finish it. It was the bid of Deadland and back.

Danny Lynn:
The CD marked the return of Deadland Korg on vocals, as this back?

Wiz:
Indeed CHAKAL and the back was not only the Korg.
What happened was that I was in a band that was called Vulture, and we have problems in speech, he was the guitarist who sang, but he was tired of. Then the day came and a Korg said: "Vulture and ends with a project we do talking about living dead, a tribute to George Romero trilogy and the dead." We tanned the idea and did it. After we had everything ready for the project a name and get more of a month trying to find a name. Hence the guys who would always speak in the tests: "fuck this is much reminiscent CHAKAL, why not put the name of CHAKAL?"
Then called the others and asked if members could use the name CHAKAL, and Mark asked for the record a solo, then finally returning as lack of choice CHAKAL.
In this CD, Mark is only active in music as a guest, but then he started playing again with us. Only the 1st show he is not participating all other is with him in one of the guitars.

Danny Lynn:
Well, after the end of 2004 came the CD Demon King, which is the first cover of the band is the music of the band Death Evil Dead.

Wiz:
Exactly. The Demon finzinho left in the year, in December 2004.

Danny Lynn:

In CHAKAL is logical that evolved musically, but the ideas they have been around since the Abominable, or the ADA is an Lp that I find cool, but it is not only technically poorly performed by musicians like the team that recorded. At the time we had ideas of how to achieve the ideal sound of guitar, drums and so on. We would like the idea of the music, but not how to do this well in a sound studio. Today, the ADA would be regravássemos the advantage of being able to take a longer time and have a better field, both the technique and the technique of musical recording. Even when we write the Demon King CD we recorded 3 songs of ADD, but never disclosed.
The songs were a better sound, but sound the same in essence the Abominable.

And what CHAKAL wishes for 2009?

Wiz:
We want the dollar to 10 dollars and was there to do shows here in Brazil.

Danny Lynn:
