How did the idea of Defaced? Defaced was when you started playing?

The band emerged as the majority of bands that ... a group of friends who enjoy putting on a metal band that address for fun and play music of their idols ... and the first name of the band was "Destroyer".
After awhile we started to take more seriously and compose our own songs.



: What can you draw from the balance of a band of thrash / death set in a city 'small' in the southwest of mine? (The band Defaced is São Sebastião do Paraíso - MG)


Have a Metal band in a small town like ours is very complicated .... is not seen no support and few people who enjoy what we do.
Why We still love and believe in our potential ...... we continue the fight .. who knows one day we "found" (laughter)


As the process of composition and recording CD's Nightmare?

During the nearly 4 years that we must band agent was already composing some songs .... then have 3 years or more ... and we did a little time. The process of recording was made and House .... all here at home .... same agent brought the instruments, all connected in the PC and start recording .. When we record an album next we will try to invest more in the recording to make a work of higher quality.


You do not have the support of any record?

No no .... and being inside ..... then also was not trying hard.


You like many bands, also suffered with the constant change of members. How do you deal with that, because the recording of Nightmare time you were without a bassist, is not it?

Yes it is true ... has several changes in the training ... but some are 3 years with the same training sets .... just changed the bass after that ..... and when we started recording we were without bassist ... but this was not problem, pq our drummer touched down about 6 years before going for battery ..... then he took the recordings .. hehehe. Here then is the Nathan and he fits well in our band as a friend ...... and musician.



What 'balance' general you see the underground world?

Yeah ..... is complicated live in underground ....... I think even that is improving a bit ... the metal is gaining more space .... but it also increases "competition" (laughter ).... and small towns have not yet achieved much, not like the bands of large cities like Sao Paulo and BH has more opportunities.
But 2008 was a year very nice to us, we spread a lot of band, participating in various events inside and outside the state and launch the CD.



What were the early influences of the band and what are today. (What have and what occurred)

Well ... at the beginning were the main influences: Metallica, Iced Earth, Iron, Sepultura, Pantera Nevermore .... ..... and some bands of melody ..
But then the agent has changed a little style .... and we mainly influences of bands like: Pantera, Lamb of God, Opeth, Bloodbath, Nevermore, Sepultura, Slayer, Testament, Carcass, and several other ...
As you see there is influence of bands and different from each other .... i tried to make a different sound.
