Performance
Inside the Body Art there is also the performance. What is your definition of art that combines elements of drama, visual arts and music. The performance also linked happening, and in this scene the viewer participates in the proposal by the artist, while in the performance, there is no participation of the public (the artist can interact spontaneously with the audience without it intervenes directly in the work). The performance can be understood from the developments in pop art, minimalism and conceptual art, which took the art scene in the 1960 and 1970.
Contemporary art puts in check the social frameworks and artistic modernism, opening up the different cultural experiences. So installations, happenings and performances are frequently conducted, indicating a certain spirit of the new guidelines of art: the attempts to direct artistic creation of worldly things, nature and urban reality. More and more articulate in different ways works of art. The relationship between art and everyday life, as well as the breaking of barriers between art and non-art are central concerns for the performance, which allows us to grasp their affiliation experiments conducted by the "surreal" and especially by the "Dada."
Works very different, made between the 1960 and 1970, are described as performances, which draws attention to the difficulties of defining the specific contours of this type of art. To better illustrate this contemporary expression can cite some important work to define better the performance;
In the roots of the "movement" in Brazil have launched the first demonstrations by performing Flávio de Carvalho (1899/1973), considered the precursor of this language in the country.

In their investigations, especially in performing its actions, it is clear the idea of experimentation and care about the creative process, to reflect and recreate a poetic sometimes subjective, addressing the relationship philosophically art / public.

When Flavio de Carvalho crossed for a hat Corpus Christi procession, walking in the opposite direction to the faithful. According to him, he sought
test the (in) tolerance of the religious community gathered together and, after being saved from a lynching by the police, gathered his psychological impressions about the episode in a book of the same name.

In 1933, created the "Dance of the Dead God", show experimental scenography
futuristic, in which actors dance birth and death of God. The day after
presentation, the theater of Modern Artists Club, site of the drama, was closed,
generating new controversy surrounding the creation of Flavius.

In the 1950s, the artist once again, resorted to an attitude
performative (and the patterns of happenings, whose concept then began to
sediment in the USA). That was the Experience # 3, addressed to a broad audience and random in the streets of downtown Sao Paulo. Flavio, just launched the "Summer of male attire, parading around in skirts, stockings and puffy-sleeved shirt, he has said, the clothes more suitable to the tropical climate.

You could say that in this period, the experimentalism in art was influenced by
Counterculture. The Happening and body art have been consolidated in the international scenario and the merging of scenic languages with the visual arts has catalyzed new forms of expression and the proposed conceptually more elaborate art
