In mid June 1997 the Foreign Debt comes with a simple proposal to play a sound punk / hc scene inspired by the punk of the'80s, and so having a means to express and convey all that the members thought and believed.
Despite many difficulties the band has experienced in the beginning as the lack of musical knowledge, lack of money, poor tools, lack of venue for trials etc., The Foreign Debt is presented by the state of São Paulo mainly the interior paulista.
After various consolidates the band themselves with themselves (Guitar / Vocals), Pini (Bass / Vocals) and Buti (battery) and is training its first record demo - tape (External Debt - 1999), a recording with little more precarious of 1 hour of studio. This demo - tape is just the first phase of the band.
In 2000 it recorded a second demo - tape entitled "Punk, Hate Culture," which with a little more experience achieve better quality. This demo - tape distribution had a relatively large (for the standards of the band) even abroad. Some songs of this recording were part of the collection "Resistance" launched in 2000 together with 3 more bands punk's so totally DIY.
At the end of 2000 the foreign debt out of business, does not prevent members remained involved in some way with the punk and underground scene in the region.
In August 2006 the punk rock back to throb in their veins and resolve "resurrect" the foreign debt, Guilherme took the battery thereby bringing new influences to the band. After a few tests the band returns to present and working on new songs.
In March 2007 into the studio to record Demo-CD "Shame" with 9 songs and some rewrites of old songs. So far this work is being well publicized and available for download and has been review by several fanzine and sites related to music and culture punk.Em back in July of that year to record two songs for the collection Chaoz Day
